Yoshiwara Soapland

WHERE TO FIND YOSHIWARA

District at the north of Asakusa, Taito-ku, historically was one of the red light districts of Tokyo, now still an area full of soaplands.

I went there taking a bus (the 08) from Nippori station. Once arrived I notices the large number of taxis (it was Saturday afternoon, around 3pm).

In that area there are more than 100 soaplands active.

Some of them have a “receptionist” or a catcher inviting potential customers to go in, especially foreigners.

In Yoshiwara, there are several soaplands that welcome foreigners, and they accept English speakers.
